Our Design Process

We follow a proven 4-step process to create websites that look professional, function flawlessly, and help your business grow.

1. Discovery & Consultation

We start with a comprehensive consultation to understand your business inside and out.

We discuss:

  • Your business, what makes you different, and your unique selling points
  • Your target audience and what problems you solve for them
  • Your competitors and where the opportunities are
  • Website goals – more enquiries, bookings, phone calls, or brand awareness
  • Essential features – forms, booking systems, galleries, maps, social integration
  • Content requirements – what pages you need and who provides text and images
  • Timeline and budget – when you need to launch and which package suits you

Branding Approach: If you already have branding (logo, colours, fonts), we’ll use it. If you need something basic, provide us with rough ideas and we’ll create a simple visual direction. For professional brand identity design with multiple concepts and comprehensive guidelines, we offer our Visual Branding Package.

You’ll leave this consultation with a clear understanding of what we’ll build, how long it will take, and exactly what it will cost.

2. Design & Mockups

We create visual designs so you see exactly what your website will look like before we build anything.

Design phase includes:

  • Homepage design mockup showing layout, colours, typography, and imagery
  • Navigation structure making it easy for visitors to find information
  • Key page layouts for your main page types (services, about, contact)
  • Mobile views showing how the design adapts to phones and tablets

We present the designs and gather your feedback. Want different colours? Prefer another layout? We refine until you’re 100% happy. Most clients finalise designs within 1-2 revision rounds.

3. Development & Build

Once approved, we build your website using WordPress with Bricks Builder, creating pixel-perfect layouts that match the designs exactly.

During development:

  • Responsive development tested at multiple screen sizes
  • All content added with proper formatting and optimisation
  • Features integrated – forms, maps, social media, booking systems, galleries
  • SEO implementation – titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, alt text, sitemap
  • Speed optimisation – image compression, caching, code minification

You’ll see progress throughout with staging site access so you can watch the website take shape.

4. Testing & Launch

Before launch, we put it through rigorous testing to ensure everything works perfectly.

Testing covers:

  • Browser testing – Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge on Windows and Mac
  • Mobile testing – real device testing on iPhones, Android phones, and tablets
  • Functionality testing – every form, button, and link verified
  • Speed testing – PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix validation
  • SEO validation – Search Console setup, sitemap submission, robots.txt
  • Security checks – SSL certificate, security plugins, firewall setup

Launch process includes:

  • DNS configuration pointing your domain to our servers
  • Going live and making your website publicly accessible
  • Google Analytics and Search Console setup
  • Training session if your package includes CMS
  • Post-launch support – we monitor for issues during the first week

Your website launches ready to attract customers and grow your business.

Common Web Design Questions

How long does it take to build a website?
Typically 2-4 weeks depending on the package and how quickly you provide content. Starter package takes about 2 weeks. Professional and Business packages take 3-4 weeks. We’ll provide a specific timeline in your proposal.

Can I update my website myself?
If you choose the Professional or Business package, yes! These include a Content Management System (CMS) with training. You’ll be able to update text, images, and add new content yourself. The Starter package doesn’t include CMS – we handle any updates for you.

What if I need help updating my site?
Our Advanced Hosting+ plan includes 3 hours per month of updates, content changes, and SEO work. Alternatively, we can handle updates on an ad-hoc basis at an hourly rate.

Can I add more pages later?
Absolutely! All websites are built to expand easily. Additional pages are priced individually depending on complexity. Start with what you need now and grow later.

What about images and photos?
You can provide your own photos, or we include access to professional stock image libraries. We also offer photo editing services to make your photos look consistent and professional.

Do I need branding before building a website?
If you already have a logo, colours, and fonts, we’ll use them. If you need something basic, give us rough ideas and we’ll create a simple visual direction. For professional brand identity with multiple concepts and guidelines, we offer our Visual Branding Package.

What happens if my website goes down?
All hosting plans include 24/7 monitoring. We’ll detect issues and work to resolve them immediately. For complete outages, we provide emergency contact details to all hosting clients.

Can I move my existing website to you?
Yes! We offer website migration services. We’ll handle the complete transfer with minimal downtime – usually just 15-30 minutes during DNS propagation.

What about SEO – will people find my website?
Every website includes basic SEO optimisation – proper titles, meta descriptions, fast loading, mobile-friendly design, and Search Console setup. For businesses serious about ranking on page one, we offer our SEO Boost package with comprehensive optimisation.

Do I need to provide all the content?
Yes, you’ll need to provide text content and any specific images you want to use. We can help structure and edit your content, but you know your business best. We can also recommend professional copywriters if needed.

What if I want features not in the packages?
No problem! We offer custom development at an hourly rate for unique requirements like booking systems, API integrations, or any bespoke functionality. We’ll provide a time estimate before starting.

Can you integrate with my existing tools?
Yes, we can integrate with most third-party services – booking systems, payment gateways, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media feeds, and more. Integration complexity varies, so we’ll quote based on your specific needs.

What happens after the website launches?
Your 3 months of free hosting begins, and you’ll receive training if your package includes CMS. We monitor for any issues during the first week and remain available for support. After 3 months, you’ll need to choose a monthly hosting plan to continue.

Can I see examples of websites you’ve built?
Yes, we have a portfolio of recent work showcasing different industries and styles. Contact us and we’ll share relevant examples for your type of business.
